Biography

Malaury Eloi Paisley from Guadeloupe studied art and film in Paris, Montreal and Cuba. She has been curating auteur cinema in Guadeloupe since 2017. Her debut film L'HOMME VERTIGE, shot between 2016 and 2023, premiered at the Berlinale 2024 in the Forum program and received the Golden Stallion of Yennenga for Best Documentary and the Paul Robeson Award at FESPACO 2025. She is a DAAD Berlin Scholarship holder 2026 in the film category and is currently working on a hybrid documentary, MEMOIRS & FICTIONS OF AN ISLAND BEFORE ITS VANISHING. She is also developing a multidisciplinary film installation with two other filmmakers between Guadeloupe, Brazil and Senegal.
