Florens Huhn

Biography

Florens was born in Hamburg. After studying German language and literature and religious studies, he studied screenwriting at Hamburg Media School (HMS). The HMS graduation film I AM, for which he wrote the screenplay, celebrated its premiere in the competition at the 2021 Max Ophüls Preis Film Festival. His work deals with the forms and structures of societal power. He is concerned with questioning norms and moral concepts, gender roles in tension with identity, queer everyday life and transcultural encounters. Since 2021, he has been a lecturer at Design Factory International, Hamburg.
