Biography

Mohamed Ghazala works as assistant professor at the Minia University Egypt, producer of animated films and director of ASIFA (Association Internationale du Film d`Animation) in Africa and in the Arab world. After his Master of Fine Arts (animation) about animalism in Disney Animations he currently works as full-time lecturer and is focussed on experimental digital animation films.
He is a writer for international magazines, like Animation, Animation Reporter, and the ASIFA Magazine. In the last years Mohamed Ghazala directed many awarded films. His last film Honyan‘s Shoe (2009) won the animation prize at the African Movie Academy Awards in Nigeria 2010 and was shown as part of a collection of African animation at the last Festival “Out of Europe XI” in Cologne in October 2010.
