Biography

Filmmaker Julius B. Franklin was born in Neu-Ulm in 1985 and has been living in Berlin since 2012. He works as a producer and is a partner in the Berlin- and Lesotho-based company Mokoari Street Productions and is also an active board member of Initiative Schwarze Menschen in Deutschland (Black People in Germany Initiative, ISD Bund e. V.). As an activist, he’s aware of “how much the media can influence public opinion”. He’s currently working on a feature film entitled RHEINLAND about the lives of black people during the Nazi regime, together with director Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese who comes from Lesotho.
