Biography

Marie Enganemben trained as a singer and completed her drama studies before getting engagements at theatres in Cologne and Bonn. They included appearances at the Cologne Opera and in the play “Die Vögel” by the German-Greek Theatre. As a parallel career she sang in gospel choirs and also led several choirs for which she wrote new arrangements “to conjure up new sound images on the stage”. She appeared alongside, amongst others, Kylie Minogue, Joy Fleming, the WDR Big Band and Marla Glen. Since 2002, she’s been involved in violence prevention schemes for children and adolescents and has initiated theatre and music projects at schools and community facilities.
