Biography

Victoria Neto is a French-Congolese director and screenwriter. Through her films, she tells intimate and sensitive stories, placing the African and Black diaspora at the center of her work. After directing her first independent short films, she further developed her cinematic voice at the La Fémis Residence, graduating in 2022. Her short film PEMA received numerous international awards in France, Ghana, and the United States, and won the Best Screenplay Award at the European Short Film Festival in Doha. Her film EMBRASURE, broadcast on ARTE, was also screened at numerous international festivals. Most recently, Victoria completed her short film ZOLLA and is currently working on her first feature-length film.
