Biography

Ramat Musa is a filmmaker, performance artist, researcher and a curator holding a degree in law and master of arts in acting from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She is primarily interested in African, Diasporic and Black histories, cultures and experiences – especially forces that shape and interrupt them, their global impact, as well as their regional and intracontinental transformative power. Under her production company EBA61, in 2021 she produced short film JESTEM/I AM, which explores identities and experiences of Afro-Polish people, and in 2024 an anti-racist social campaign film, which reached over a million viewers. She currently holds a position of artistic director of AfryKamera (African film festival in Poland) and she recently became part of the MDW dance company based in Berlin.
