NORAA

NORAA is a young artist with family roots in Chad and in Germany. With her guitar and voice, she produces an incomparable mix of acoustic, soul and reggae. She recently toured as the opening act with the Afro-German reggae singer-songwriter Patrice, and has been working with him on her debut album. She has also appeared in solo concerts in Paris, accompanied by a live band. 

NORAA’s cooperation with her own band opens new possibilities for musical expansion and development of her unique style. She keeps the organic elements of her acoustic performances and adds modern beats and bass to the mix; she describes her sound as a combination of the Swedish band “Little Dragon” and the black American rapper Lauryn Hill. Her appearance at the official African Film Festival club night of Funkhaus Europa will mark her first appearance in Germany as a solo concert with her own band, and she will present songs from her upcoming debut album.
