Biography

Born on 21.07.1968 in Rio de Janeiro, the Brazilian likes to call the day of her birth her “premiere”. “After struggling with physics and maths at school” she studied drama at the Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras (CAL), which “was a relief for my family, as I could take my theatrics elsewhere.” Her dream was to “perform on stage in London’s West End” but she “ended up in western Germany” – in Cologne. She started off as the “bathroom women” at Casamax Theater before landing her first on-stage role. In 1996 she moved to Comedia Colonia, where she worked as a director and still teaches at the drama school. Her theatrical path has since moved on from classical theatre to improvisational theatre and other styles, and she is the co-founder, writer and current president of Immisitzung, a show performed at the Cologne carnival.
