Biography

While he was also writing books, author Rachid Djaïdani made a full-length documentary, SUR MA LIGNE, which was nominated for the 8th Biennial of Arab Cinemas in July 2006 and screened at the 2007 Cannes Festival. In 2008, Djaïdani earned a Stendhal fellowship for his fourth novel. In 2010, he made LA LIGNE BRUNE, a 26-minute documentary shown at the 2011 Dubai International Film Festival. That same year, he directed a web series for Arte TV, UNE HEURE AVANT LA DATTE. In 2012, after nine years of hard work, he finished RENGAINE, a feature film that he shot without any financing.
