Shandra Apondi is a Kenyan actress, filmmaker, and storyteller whose work spans acting, directing, and producing across film, television, and theatre. Beginning her career as an actress, she has become known for emotionally grounded performances in projects such as Where the River Divides, Mercy, Mizizi, Crime and Justice, and the Swiss-Kenyan feature MEMORY OF PRINCESS MUMBI, where she stars in the lead role of Princess Mumbi and also serves as producer through her company, Out of My Mind Films. Through her work both in front of and behind the camera, Shandra Apondi is committed to telling bold African stories that are emotionally intimate, socially resonant, and globally accessible.
