Biography

Munir Abbar originally comes from Morocco and lives in Berlin. Since the end of the 1990s he has produced advertisements and video films in both locations, such as for the Berlin production company Fifty Seven. In 2007, he made his first short film, “Paris sur mer“, which brought him invitations to international festivals in cities ranging from Dubai to Clermont-Ferrand, and it received a special mention from the jury at the Tangier film festival in his native Morocco. In 2009, he contributed to the episodic film “24h Marrakech” and also made the commissioned film “Amnesty International – 60 Years Fighting for Human Rights”.
