Abstract

On a rural farm in Tunisia, Aïcha and her husband Brahim are devastated by the departure of their eldest sons, Mehdi and Amine, to join the Islamic State. Only Mehdi returns, accompanied by Reem, a pregnant Syrian woman. A silent, heavy mystery surrounds this arrival and the strange events that follow. Aïcha is torn between her maternal love and her need for the truth.
