Abstract

SUMARA MARÉ means waiting for the walking times while we observe them (aguardar a maré enquanto a observamos). In this experimental documentary, director and producer Samira Vera-Cruz uses performance dance and impressive images to illustrate the practice of collecting sand on the Cape Verde Islands with its backgrounds and destructive effects.
