Abstract

Hannah Awo Nkeba Bonney, currently at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM), presents SOMEHOW DIFFERENT - the result of an exchange between film students from Ghana and Finland. She wrote its script, and a Finnish colleague took over the role of director. The documentary was filmed in the Alexandra township in Johannesburg, in which a group of artists attempt to counteract massive xenophobia (against Zimbabwean immigrants, for example) with street performances.
