Abstract

A late-night crime drama from Ethiopia: think Prime Suspect or Law & Order, Addis Ababa. Nishan, a young and enterprising woman, wants to leave Ethiopia to try her luck abroad. Her chances look good, since her father supports her financially and takes out a mortgage on the family house. But suddenly, important documents disappear, an antique gun appears, and Nishan’s fiancé changes in mysterious ways. Nishan tries everything to help her family, but soon she gets caught in a web of lies and danger looms ever closer...
