Abstract

The young Tunisian Hedi leads an orderly life. His future is predetermined, as his mother holds him within her protective arms and makes his decisions for him. His boss has him at his beck and call and sends him off on a business trip to Mahdia just one week before his wedding. What starts off as a boring (business) trip turns into a calling to begin a new, different life.
A multi-layered feature film about happiness, pain, freedom and love, for which Tunisian actor Majd Mastoura was awarded the Silver Bear as Best Actor at the 2016 Berlinale.
The screening of the film at the 14th Cologne African Film Festival marks its premiere in Germany.
