Abstract

The documentary MAMA DAN SO QUE SORRISO by Cameroonian director Cyrielle Raingou explores memories of the Portuguese colonial rule in São Tomé, as well as a mother-daughter relationship that transcends space, time, dimensions and death. Isabel Cardoso and Joacine Katar Moreira connect this relationship with Black femininity and the struggle for justice in Portugal.
