Abstract

From childhood memories in the streets where he used to play, to encounters with a farmer or a martial artist, Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese weaves an intimate narrative intertwining childhood, education, exile, and a reflection on the world. He evokes the violence inherited from the colonial past, still anchored in the present. ANCESTRAL VISIONS OF THE FUTURE juxtaposes the future with ancestral heritage, poetically deconstructing temporal boundaries. In this third feature film, the director offers a personal allegory of uprootedness and belonging, set against the backdrop of his homeland — Lesotho.
