Abstract

The young filmmaker Zipporah Nyaruri looks very promising. She says that she has learnt more by being on set than studying at university in Kenya and Uganda. Her film is a skilfully directed short story about a 10-year-old fisherman's son who, in order to help his mother, uses a rich businessman’s weapon against him. It has led to many invitations to festivals.
