Abstract

On 25th January 2011 the protests of the Egyptian revolution had begun, which after only 18 days marked the end for the Mubarak regime. The three young Egyptian producers, representatives of the Facebook generation, were actively involved. In their film, they approach the events from different points of view. In the first chapter The Good the protagonists of the rebellion have a chance to speak. Tamer Ezzat revisited with them central places of the protest and shows unseen film recordings from the days of the resistance. In the second chapter The Bad Ayten Amin tries to investigate, how the hated police justifies its acts of violence. Remarkably here, officials speak in front of the camera about their conflict between obedience and sympathies for the protestors. In the last part The Politician Amr Salama presents an ironical self-help program on “How do I become a dictator in ten steps?”.
